Die! Die! Die! Aotearoa tour, December. Hamilton

8pm Doors

December 12, 2019

Tāmaki Makaurau-based noise-punks Die! Die! Die! have announced a four-date Aotearoa tour for this December.

Die! Die! Die! - December Tour, Aotearoa

Friday 6th December - The Co*k, Dunedin
Saturday 7th December - Wunderbar, Lyttelton
Friday 13th December - Nivara Lounge, Hamilton
Saturday 14th December - Raynham Park, Auckland

All proceeds from the tour and merchandise sales will go towards the band returning to Chicago in 2020 for the recording of their next full length album. It will be produced and mixed by legendary engineer/musician Steve Albini (Shellac, Nirvana, PJ Harvey), who Die! Die! Die! worked with on their debut, self-titled album in 2005.

The tour also celebrates the release of their critically acclaimed 2019 EP 'O' which came out in April this year and sold out online within 60 minutes. The EP has been repressed by Zenith records in Melbourne and the band will have 7 inches of the vinyl available at all shows.

Further cause for celebration is their seminal record Promises Promises having been remastered, and finally reissued on vinyl. A limited number of 500 copies are to be released worldwide on December 6th, which have been pressed at New Zealand vinyl plant Holiday Records. The album will be available on the band's Bandcamp and on tour if not sold out prior.

This reissue of the album will be entirely self-released and self-supported and allow for donations from fans to help fund the band's journey to Chicago.

The long-running core team of guitarist / singer Andrew Wilson and the furious drumming of Michael Prain have been going strong since their formation as Die! Die! Die! back in 2003 and in 2018 they welcomed bassist Lachlan Anderson back into the band full time.

Racing Summer Tour with Mini Simmons* - Hamilton

December 20, 2019

*(Mini Simmons play selected dates only)

Auckland-based tropicalia groove maestros Racing are back on the road this summer for an onslaught of shows across the nation, and are being joined by blues rock 60s & 70s
guitar wranglers Mini Simmons for selected dates.

Racing also play Eggfest in the Coromandel on December 29th with Fleetmac Wood, Marlin's Dreaming and Glass Vaults, and headline New Plymouth Festival of Lights NYE show on Dec 31st.

Racing emerge fresh from the studio where they are working on a second full length album due for release in 2020, and a follow up to 2019's Real Dancing which featured the singles Motel Pool, Run Wild, The Bass and others.

The band - who are finalists for best rock artist in the 2019 New Zealand Music Awards - take rock and roll and inject it with a chemical haze so potent the listener is left both pleased and punished. Once likened to “the thoughts of a crocodile in flood season”, Racing crafts a swirling sea of groove and hypnosis into rock anthems drenched in weird tropical dance music.

Mini Simmons is a Rock n Roll band from Auckland New Zealand dreamt up on the Pacific Highway of Mexico, Mini Simmons is a loose nod to the 60's. They have been making significant waves in 2019 with wild response to their debut album (the first pressed to vinyl in New Zealand since 1987) and having recently taken the stage at Spark Arena for the 2019 Silver Scrolls Awards, where they re-worked & performed Benee's breakout pop smash 'Soaked'.

Enjoy Life Tour with BREV.

7pm - 10pm

December 21, 2019

BREV., from North Carolina USA, brings his insightful, melodic brand of Synthpop/R&B to New Zealand with the Enjoy Life Tour. Influenced by the likes of Kimbra, Chet Faker, and Anderson.Paak, BREV. weaves together lush synths, electronic beats, and powerful lyrics creating a melodic revolution best described as millennial mellow pop. He released 'Revive', an anthemic 5-song EP, to kick off 2019 and just finished a 5-show stint of the Enjoy Life Tour on the East Coast of the US (feat. Raleigh Pop artist Fately). Now with a new 10-song project ‘On The Other Side’, BREV. continues genre-bending as he sets out on the other side of the planet for 2 years (he’s moving to Melbourne in February), providing catchy melodies and more groovy, mellow vibes.
